Your curling iron runs somewhere between 300°F and 400°F. This runs at room temperature, and you are asleep for all of it.

Every set is complete on its own — satin rod, 2 scrunchies, clip and sleep bonnet. Multi-packs ship together in one parcel. Pick your colour above; all sets in an order are the same colour.

The Overnight Curl Set is a satin-wrapped rod you fasten around your head before bed. You wrap damp hair down each side, secure it, pull on the bonnet, and sleep. In the morning you unwrap full, soft, bouncy curls — the kind that normally cost you half an hour in front of a mirror and a little more of your hair each time.

Why heatless

Heat is the part that costs you

Hot tools work by forcing the hair's outer cuticle open and reshaping what's underneath. Done occasionally, that's fine. Done several times a week, that's the roughness, the frizz halo and the snapped ends that show up months later — and no conditioner puts a cuticle back.

A heatless rod gets its shape from tension and time instead of temperature. It is slower. That is the entire trade: you give it the hours you were asleep for anyway, and it takes nothing back.

The method

Four steps, about five minutes

  1. Start damp, not wet. Towel-dried and roughly 80% dry is the sweet spot. Soaking hair won't set; bone-dry hair won't hold.
  2. Centre and wrap. Sit the rod on your head like a headband, split your hair, and wrap each section down and around the rod. Secure each end with a scrunchie.
  3. Bonnet on, lights off. Six to eight hours. The bonnet is what keeps it all in place if you move in the night.
  4. Unwrap and separate. Slide the rod out and break the curls up with your fingers. Don't brush — brushing turns curls into volume.

In the box

  • Satin curling rod — flexible foam core, satin outer, sits flat enough at the back to sleep on
  • Two satin scrunchies — hold each end without pressing a crease into the hair
  • Sectioning clip — keeps the rod steady while both hands are busy wrapping
  • Satin sleep bonnet — holds the set overnight and cuts the morning frizz

Honest comparison

Against a curling iron

  Overnight Curl Set Curling iron
Heat applied None 300–400°F
Your time ~5 min, then asleep 20–45 min, awake
Learning curve Two or three nights to dial in Immediate
Result speed Next morning Same hour
Running cost None Electricity, heat protectant

If you need curls in the next ten minutes, an iron wins and we won't pretend otherwise. This is for the nights you can plan one step ahead.

Fit

Who this suits — and who it doesn't

Works best on shoulder-length hair and longer. Below the shoulder is where it genuinely shines, because there's enough length to wrap the full rod.

Probably not for you if your hair sits above your shoulders. There isn't enough length to hold the wrap, and you'd be disappointed. We'd rather say that here than take the order and handle the return.

Straight answers

How tight will the curls be?Damper hair and a tighter wrap give defined spirals. Drier hair and a looser wrap give soft waves. It's genuinely adjustable once you've done it twice.
Will it stay put if I move in my sleep? The bonnet is the reason it does. Restless sleepers should use the clip as well as both scrunchies.
Can I use it on dry hair?Yes, with a little water or leave-in spray on each section. The result is softer and drops out faster than starting damp.
How long do the curls last?Typically a full day on most hair types. Fine hair drops sooner; thick or textured hair often holds into a second day.
Does it work on textured or curly hair?Yes — it's commonly used to stretch and define rather than to create curl from straight. Start with more moisture.
What if it isn't for me?Thirty days, unused, no argument. Shipping is free and tracked, and delivery typically runs 7–15 business days — we don't promise faster than we can deliver.
A note on how we talk about this product It's a satin rod and a bonnet. It won't repair damage that has already happened and we're not going to tell you it will. What it does is let you skip the heat on the days you'd otherwise reach for the iron — and over a year, that's most of the difference.
